Sites / Web Applications
If you want this:
Description:
A web site is a series of pages on (and for) the Internet, normally written in HTML. It contains texts, hyperlinks, images, videos or any other digital format hosted on one or more Internet servers, typically accessible through the http protocol, which is in charge of transferring the information between the web server and the browser (web navigation programme) over the Internet, mobile phone or LAN (local network).
The set of all web sites available on the Internet is an important part of what is called the “World Wide Web”.
There are two main types of sites that can confuse the user - static sites and dynamic sites.
This has nothing to do with the presence or lack of animation, but rather the characteristics of the programming and the server in question. In simple terms:
Static because the documents made in HTML will only be updated if the programmer edits them.
Dynamic because they are written dynamically by the server at the moment of your order. In other words, the programmer prepares the web site so the HTML documents are made the moment the user places its order on the site (web server).
Example: Google.com – If this were a static solution, as soon as the user entered a search, the programmer would need to immediately make the page with the results.
With the dynamic solution, that is actually what happens; however, the server is the one that writes the HTML page, automatically.
We also have an important division:
Front Office – which is the site itself (it can be static or dynamic).
Back Office – consists of another site with restricted access for the user and a password that permits the insertion/updating of the site (Front Office) content. This one must be dynamic.
